There are 2 main pre-schools that feed into the school, Shaw Ridge playgroup and Holy Trinity Acorns.

Shaw Ridge playgroup- opened in 1984. The playgroup is located in Shaw Ridge Primary School, which offers many benefits - not least their association with the school which assists your child's smooth transition into full time education.  The group is registered to care for 26 children.  Children attend for a variety of sessions. The setting supports children who have English as an additional language and children with special educational needs.

The playgroup opens five days a week during school term times. Sessions are from 09:00 until 11:45 each morning, and 12:15 until 14:45 each afternoon

'The staff work together well as a team. They demonstrate a firm commitment to sustaining continuous improvement through self-evaluation and monitoring.
